Our Story

Andrew and Lillian were introduced by mutual friends in the fall of 2022. Ironically, when they later asked those friends what made them think they would be a good match, the answer was simply, “just a hunch.”

As it turns out, that hunch was exactly right. Andrew and Lillian quickly connected and enjoyed a wonderful first date that included a visit to Talon Winery followed by dinner at one of their favorite Lexington restaurants, Omakase. From the beginning, they discovered a shared appreciation for a quieter pace of life and the simple joy of spending time together. Whether enjoying a good meal, exploring new places, or simply being in each other’s company, their relationship grew naturally and steadily.

Because both Andrew and Lillian tend to be low-key and value meaningful moments over grand gestures, a secluded proposal felt like the perfect fit. Andrew chose a beautiful bench tucked away within the Atlanta Botanical Garden as the setting for one of the most important moments of their lives. While the proposal itself was a surprise, Andrew may have unintentionally revealed that something was up when he insisted on wearing a large raincoat throughout the day so he could discreetly hide the ring box. Despite his best efforts, Lillian had her suspicions, but the moment was no less special when Andrew finally asked her to marry him.

As they look ahead to marriage, Andrew and Lillian are most excited about building a life together and seeing what the Lord has in store for their future. They are looking forward to sharing a home, creating new traditions, and beginning this next chapter side by side. Lillian is also excited about the added bonus that comes with marrying Andrew—a two-for-one package that includes his beloved tiny tuxedo cat, Cece, who has already secured a special place in both of their hearts.

Surrounded by the love and support of their family and friends, Andrew and Lillian are grateful for the journey that brought them together and excited for all that lies ahead.
